West Side Story
Well, it was great. All the kids worked hard and there were a few (very few, mind you) rough spots, but if they'd had another month they'd be ready for Broadway. Every performance was sold out. The Jets' rendition of "Officer Krupke" was as good as you could possibly find on any stage, anywhere, anytime. And Andrew was a valient trouper as Tony, despite having a pretty miserable cold--most folks had no idea, and he was still pretty much dead on the center of every note (now if only he can sing that well for his upcoming U of I audition).

It's an interesting feeling to be the father of the star. I'm not sure what to say about it as I have not had a chance to stop and analyze it all, but I can tell you I am very, very proud of him. If Andrew pursues his dream of singing professionally, my goal for him would be that if ten years from now if you do a Google search (or whatever the search-engine-de-jour is) for Trygstad, you come up with Andrew's name before mine. Anyway, pictures will be coming soon; check here later.
