When I raised my hand to take my oath to enter the Navy, I swore that I would
"...support and defend the Constitution of the Unted States against all enemies
foreign and domestic, and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same...".
It's an oath that I take, if you will pardon the phrase, deadly
seriously, and I am very aware that my retirement from the Navy does
not release me from this oath.
