I've been the Information Systems Administrator for a university department and for a Navy aviation squadron with over 500 people, and I've managed a multimedia center providing campus-wide multimedia computing support. As Client Services Manager for Illinois Tech's Computing and Network Services (CNS) I managed a division responsible for all CNS computer labs, Novell networks, the Helpdesk, and all technical and structural aspects of the university's Web site. I've had wide experience with the World Wide Web and I have created and maintained a large group of homepages, including pages for the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland, for alumni of the U.S. Naval Academy, and the Naval and Maritime page of the World Wide Web Virtual Library. I've been the Webmaster for multiple Web servers at IIT and I was the direct line supervisor of the University Webmaster. I created and coordinated the IIT Internet Access program, providing Internet Education for students, educators and business people and Internet access for community groups and activities. Through this program I was responsible for basic Internet education of over 1000 students, including 800 K-12 educators. As an outgrowth of this program, I was also the Program Manager of IIT's Certificate Program in Educational Technology. In addition to instructing Information Technology, I have taught Computer Science, Web Design for the e-Commerce Masters program aand DIsaster Recovery for the Master of Public Administration program of Illinois Tech's Stuart School of Business, and I've taught e-Commerce technology for the University of Chicago. Conversant with DOS, Windows, Linux, UNIX and Amiga computers, I have extensive conventional and computer graphics experience as well as formal Navy training and experience in information security.
